Art For Abortion Access: Recap (August 2022)

Art For Abortion Access | Saturday, August 13, 2022, 1-4pm

In light of the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we wanted to take action to support reproductive justice, so we put on our signature ‘pick your price’ art sale where original art donated by local artists was available, with 100% of the money going to The Brigid Alliance, a major funder of abortion care for anyone who needs it.

We held this event on Vee Vee’s beautiful back patio. It was a hot afternoon, but people came out in force and we raised $13,000 in about three hours’ time. One of our most successful events.

The Brigid Alliance is a referral-based service that provides people seeking abortions with travel, food, lodging, child care and other logistical support. For more information:

Major thanks to Ginny Zanger and Gail Bos of the JP Artists Association for marshaling an array of great artists to contribute to this urgent and important cause.

Art For All 3: Recap (May 2022)

We at Boston For All were glad to be back at Aeronaut Brewery for Art For All 3, a celebration of community and art in Somerville. At this unique art sale, you decide how much to pay for original art donated by generous local artists. We have so much local talent in the area’; the range and quality of the art donated this year was simply stunning.

What’s more, together we raised over $6,500 in one afternoon, 100% of which goes directly to La Colaborativa.

La Colaborativa is a trusted partner to Massachusetts’ Latinx immigrant community. Based in Chelsea, La Colaborativa supports youth and adult members through food, housing, jobs, English classes, citizenship pathways, and community organizing.

Run For All 4: Recap

Run-for-All-2021.png

Our flagship event is a simple community gathering at Jamaica Pond, where we join together for a unified, non-competitive mile long run/walk around the pond. It felt amazing to be back among so many friends and neighbors – and to make some new friends too!

Not to mention that in online and cash donations, we raised over $1,000 to support Community Servings, our local hero organization in Jamaica Plain, fighting food insecurity in our community and beyond. It was inspiring to hear CEO David B. Waters talk in more detail about the work they are doing.

It’s not too late to add to that total: bostonforall.org/donate

A full 100% of your donation goes directly to Community Servings, we don’t keep any $ at all.

Also, a special thanks to Del’s Coffee for pouring delicious coffee all morning and Rifrullo Cafe for providing scrumptuous pastries. These two lovely local businesses donated their time, effort, and expertise so that we could all enjoy free treats – so please support them in return whenever you get the chance.
