Fun For All: Recap

Fun For All: Recap

The first Annual event was held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Spontaneous Celebrations in Jamaica Plain, MA.

Even nasty, icy weather couldn’t keep us from gathering with friends and neighbors to reclaim the date January 20 – exactly two years since the Trump inauguration – in the spirit of goodwill, community, and inclusion. We had a festive sing-along, circus fun and lots of art activities that were loved by kids and grownups alike. City Councilor Matt O’Malley cohosted this great community event – and gave a super-generous match of up to $500 donated to Kids in Need of Defense (KIND). All told, we raised close to $1,500 for this incredible organization… a number that certainly would have been larger were it not for the ice storm that made traveling to Fun For All such a challenge. Hopefully we won’t butt heads with nature next time around!

You can still donate to KIND here: https://supportkind.org

“Boston For All has made it easy for us at KIND to connect with people in the community and raise the funds we need to help vulnerable children. Their creative and fun events – including local restaurant weeks and a fun fair for the whole community – have been awesome to attend and a huge help to our work.”

Here is Boston for All Founder Jeremy Fischer, with City Councilor Matt O’Malley and a great group of Fun For All attendees!

We had a great JP restaurant week during mid-term election week! JP restaurants, neighbors, and friends raised over $2,000 for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND). KIND is a national organization providing much needed advocacy and legal assistance to immigrant children and their families.

Donations will be contributed by the restaurants on the following nights:

  • Sunday, November 4 – Tres Gatos
  • Monday, November 5 – The Haven
  • Tuesday, November 6 – Casa Verde *Election Result View Party
  • Wednesday, November 7 – The Frogmore
  • Thursday, March 8 – Vee Vee
  • Friday, November 9 – Little Dipper

Boston For All focuses on creating fun, accessible events to raise money for organizations working on behalf of those who are most vulnerable in our current political environment. The group is run by parents committed to fighting fear with art, energy and love, working for inclusion in our community and our nation, and raising money for great causes.

“It is our mission to make giving fun and simple,” Jeremy Fischer said. “Just show up, enjoy some great times with others in your community, and open yourself up to possibility and inspiration.”

Run For All 2: Recap

Run For All 2: Recap

It was another great day at Run For All 2! The community came out in full force and joined in the fun – all to benefit the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA). We heard from City Councilor Matt O’Malley and MIRA’s Federal Policy Director Sarang Sekhavat before joining in our unified lap around Jamaica Pond. We raised over $3,500 to support MIRA’s amazing work and had a great time doing it!

Rock For All: Recap

Rock For All was a huge success – we raised nearly $8,000 for the Mass ACLU! Kids and adults alike got to rock out and enjoy some great community fun. With free food, kids, drinks for adults, face-painting, and a great silent auction, we had something for everyone. Thanks to everyone for joining us for these two great shows in one day!

A huge thank you to our sponsors:

Rock For All 2: Recap

Rock For All 2 was held on March 17, 2018 at Spontaneous Celebrations in Jamaica Plain, MA.

Vanessa Trien and The Jumping Monkeys brought the house down again to a sold out crowd! We danced, ate pizza, watched a movie, and had a great time while raising money for the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition. Nearly $6,000 went toward this amazing organization – all because we came together for a good time!

We are so grateful to our wonderful sponsors:
